Meet Sarah

She is a doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Special Education at Louisiana State University. Her research examines the effects of music-based interventions in early childhood as well as the mental health experiences of caregivers of autistic individuals. She brings more than 15 years of professional experience in special education and early intervention to her academic work.

Sarah is the founder and owner of Kingdom Kids Consulting, LLC, where she provides parent consultation, IEP and IFSP support, and professional development focused on inclusive and evidence-based practices. She has served as a special education teacher and department chair in elementary and middle school settings across Louisiana, supporting students with diverse learning needs in grades PK–8.

Her scholarly and professional interests include teacher preparation, inclusive education, and family-centered services. She is committed to advancing equitable, research-informed practices that promote positive outcomes for students and families. As a devoted wife and mother of two sons, one of whom is autistic, her personal experiences further inform her professional work and advocacy.

Offering guidance and feedback to parents and teachers on effective, evidence-based interventions to build coping skills, improve self-regulation, and reduce challenging behaviors through consistent, collaborative approaches.
